Vortex Hydra’s Technical Department has over 50 years of experience in the design of hydraulic works having successfully developed and completed numerous commissioned projects in this specialist field of engineering.
The Vortex team comprise of both a young and enterprising group of Engineers and Technicians that are fully capable of devising innovative solutions that are tailored to suit a customer’s needs. This makes Vortex Hydra a reliable point of reference for the development of new proposals for Hydro-mechanical Equipment and Safety Valves for Hydropower Plants.

Working methods are supported by Engineers that have the highest level of preparation capabilities backed up by their intense knowledge and skills relating to the following software:
- Autocad Mechanical
- Solidworks with simulation package
- Sabik (electrical CAD)
The design process is based on 3D Modelling that is optimised by means of:
- Finite Elements Analysis
- Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis
